The News.
Now.
I sorta wanted to do something like:
This Week in Worthington
Doesn't that sound catchy? ...of course that is the name of the newspaper... isn't it?
What's Happening in Real Estate in Worthington? No, that sounds too 1970's...
The News about Worthington real estate?
How about Last Week in Worthington? Looking in the rear view mirror at the week in real estate or the data that was reported... anyway.
Worthington
This is about homes in the City of Worthington (and the Village of Riverlea because Riverlea is lumped into the MLS area (the Columbus Board of Realtors multiple listing service.) Residential properties, single family homes and condominiums.
Sold
There was a "Sold" in Colonial Hills... another sold home shows up as sold in the Columbus Board of Realtor's Multiple Listing Service hot sheet for last week because the listing brokerage got around to reporting it finally about a week after the closing...
New listings... the hot sheet said 5 but one property is really just new to the agent, the home has been on the market previously, it was withdrawn from one brokerage and listed with another.
- Old Worthington
- Worthingway
- Olentangy Hills
- Riverlea which is not Worthington but is lumped into Worthington in our MLS
Withdrawn and re-list with a big price reduction in Worthinglen condos (the Bob Webb condominiums just south of Worthington Galena Rd.) This very unit is the first one I ever showed in Worthinglen. Darlene Krumlauf had it listed. We were at Coldwell Banker... it was probably 1990.
Worthingway - a "Contingency Reason: Finance and Inspection."
Colonial Hills - an expired listing Kinda Sorta , it is a home "to be built" agent/owner, probably will go back on the market, it's been on over a year...
Prices changes:
- Medick Estates
- Highland Place
- Worthington Estates
- Worthington Park (1950's homes west of Proprietors, north of 161)
- Old Worthington
- Worthingway,
Under Contract one in Worthington Park
Under Contract one in Bellbrook Place
No expireds (well except the Colonial Hills kinda sorta expired), no back on markets....
Worthington Area
Remember above was about the City of Worthington if you get into the "Worthington Area" ... I can't just do a search by the school district, for only the Worthington School District and the Columbus Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service (CBR MLS) areas that contain homes in the Worthington School District also have homes in the Columbus, Dublin, and Olentangy School districts but here are numbers to give an idea....
28 new listings
20 contingent (probably finance and inspection... but who knows??)
15 Solds (remember 50% of the solds that showed up in Worthington were old sales... the brokerage just got around to reporting the data... of course when there are only two sales... it skews things.) They're sold... gone off the market. Sellers are relieved. Listing agents are thrilled.
41 Price Changes
8 Under Contracts
Lots of short sale success, some corporate owned, wow someone got a great deal in Northwoods...
