as of today, all is well

We are almost through the first quarter of 2009, and so far, all is well. It has been a long and sometimes difficult winter with snow storms, ice storms, power outages for extended periods of time, excessive misappropriation of tax payer funds, etc. Even though it rained most of the day yesterday and is still raining today, and even though I have no inspections booked for today or tomorrow, I still remain optimistic.

There is no snow on the ground, the grass is starting to turn green, March Madness and spring training are in full swing, opening day for baseball is about a week away, the Celtics are again in playoff contention, and my phone continues to ring. So far this year, my business is up nearly 40 percent over last year, I am still gaining market share in a declining market and the future looks even brighter. There is no limit to what we can accomplish if we just set our minds to it, focus on the positives, and refuse to believe the naysayers. I for one, am looking forward to and planning for a great year, anyone care to join me?

I would like to close this post with a quote from my all time favorite author, The late, great Dr. Seuss.

"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"

Have a great year,

Kevin

It's going to be a fantastic year!   Keep up the good work.  I love the quote!

Thanks Tina,

I agree with your assessment of 2009, I see no signs of a recession regardless of what the experts are saying. That quote is going to be my new mantra, Dr. Seuss is awesome.
