Is the mortgage crisis behind us?

Mortgage and Lending

Not according to this article it's not...in fact it paints the picture that things will not get better until after 2011.

The most eye opening piece is the second graph in the article.  Look closely at which kinds or mortgages are resetting and when...just look at 2011.  This dropped me to the floor!  I had not seen this information presented in this way before and it took me back a bit.

Ok, so I know everyone is going to begin to freak out over this.  It is something that we need to be mindful of yes, the impacts of it can also be reduced by actions today instead of waiting until we are in the middle of a downward spirial as we did in 2007 and 2008.  The good news is that everyone knows this is coming this time where as last time only the savvy saw it coming and everyone else thought things were just peachy and nothing could stop the momentum of the market.

When you think it is behind us you had brace yourself for the next wave. There are way too many REO's and short sales left on the market for us to even be able to predict the bottom of the curve.
