Okay all,

It's been a while since my last post, except for my listing posts, and here's why... I am busier than a one armed man hanging wall paper. Seriously.

I hear the agents moan and groan about there being nothing going on and I keep my mouth shut and my head down and keep working. It's that simple. I keep working.

I know this sound a little crazy but I have NEVER had a better March than I did this month. It's amazing what happens when you are insentivized. My insentive to work was a lack of food with my meals. 2008 was a brutal year. Okay, we know, let's get past that. But when my bank account dropped like a stone, I decided I was no longer going to participate in the market. I was going to make my own market in 2009.

So, I networked. I Facebooked. I Open Housed. I Called. I mailed. I started listing. I really started listing. I followed up on leads from my listings. I got referred. A listing sold. Another listing sold. I got more referrals. I kept networking.... finally, I'm sending this blog off to you.

Get it? Put your head down. Make your plan. Work.

There's the magic bullet.

BTW... some tricks to getting a listing to sell...

1. Price it exactly right.

Love the post! In a market that is supposedly "terrible" for us insurance agents as well, I've had my best first quarter ever. Just keep your nose to the grindstone! The people that are complaining are the ones who don't know how to WORK!

You are right!  Last year was my biggest year ever.  I went to the neighborhood pool to meet friends of ours and she introduced me to a agent friend of hers who sold real estate.  The lady was discussing the market and how bad it was.  She said "I don't have any buyers and no listings".  I thought to myself, why are you laying around the pool?  I'm here because I had three closings that month.  It amazes me how so many agents will talk about how bad the market is, but do nothing about it.  I personally gave my real estate career to the Lord and said your will be done.  I ask him to send me those I can help.  This year I made $11,500 in March!  I know that "giving it to God" is not for eveyone and I don't mean to offend.  I'm just saying after doing that, not only has my career prospered, I have met some very nice people and the pressure is way less.  Just my two cents>. : )
