Should I float? Should I lock? - Daily Update for Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Mortgage and Lending with Amerisave Mortgage Corporation

Here are the daily thoughts on floating or locking if you are asked by your clients.

As always - consult your favorite mortgage professional who will be able to offer the best advice for YOUR unique situation

With little being reported today, bonds are looking to stocks to see which way is up.  With the bond currently near overbought state and approaching a MAJOR ceiling level, look for bonds to hold steady.

Technically speaking - the FNMA 4.5% 30 year bond is sitting nicely on the 10 day moving average.  The bond is nearing overbought levels.

I am recommending to

LOCK the good rates which will be coming out today for your best mortgage rate.
