Make a List & Check it Twice
With the availability of great deals on the market, many buyers may be focusing too much at a homes price tag rather than the suitability of the home. It is exciting to find a home that is more affordable than before. Unfortunately many buyers are too anxious to dive in and take advantage without considering the long term investment.
The average Americas lives in the same home for approximately 9 years, so it's crucial that you think about your long-term needs when buying a home. A 2-bedroom house with a gourmet kitchen may dazzle you today, but will you still be impressed down the road when your family starts to grow? When you find a home that you are serious about purchasing, take a look at the "skeleton" of the home and evaluate how it suits your needs. It is a good idea before you begin house hunting to make a list of things that are important to find in a home for you & your family. This list should also include aspects surrounding the home such as neighborhood location & amenities. You may also want to give this list to your Real Estate Agent so that they can help you focus on homes that will be the best overall fit.
Make a list of your needs and stick to it to avoid buyer's remorse down the road. Call or email me to discuss your real estate needs.
