Ba BOOM! Cha Ching! I cheated!

Hello fellow Bloggers!

Did you know I teach TIME BLOCKING? I apologize that ActiveRain has been left out of the schedule in the last few weeks! I have to share with you that I have been....uhhhh...uhhhh.....this is hard...but I have been cheating on you!

I did not leave you AR but yes I was checking out greener pastures or really just looking for greener, thicker grass, trying to feel wanted and needed in places that were new to my blogging...

Do you know what I discovered?

If you will even allow BBB Liz to share or if your eyes will ever cross the screen again of Blogs I write....The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is this:

Tweets chirp and sing and share all the news you feed it...

FaceBook finds friends, shares your daily glows and woes, post events and rocks in its own way...

Linked in is just that...It links you into everything...

But ActiveRain is the rock, the base, the root...

The truth is that all of the above are enhanced by the roots of ActiveRain...The best place to blog is the place that you can be your own person and AR allows this in lots of ways that are FREE...I left because I saw a free site charging for lots of bells and whistles...On a budget I asked myself...was I not a good blogger if I did not have the special icon on my profile? If I did not pay for special blogging rights?

Guess what?

Icons, bling bling and all of these things are not what allows you to be a great blogger. A great blogger is anyone that writes consistent and stays the course. A great blogger gives value added service. A great blogger shares news and feeds the lives of others by just sharing. A great blogger realizes that ActiveRain is the root system for all the other spaces out there in the big world and writes here 1st to then spread and share the fertilizer...

So Rain on me! Rain on me!

I cheated...I looked the other way and discovered that the GRASS is not GREENER anywhere else! The Grass is the Greenest where it is rained on!

Well welcome back, nothing wrong with keeping your options open. If we didnt keep seeking opportunity we never would have found this site in the first place. It is good to be open minded and forward thinking.

Glad to have you share the info...the grass is rarely greener on the other side!

Good blog post. Active Rain is far and away the best community around. Others can try to copy it, but no one will achieve what it has achieved.

Robert - I will not leave again...A few breaks of course but not for weeks!

I was lost in the 'Rain about a week after joining in latge 2006 and was wandering around the internet for the next year. I re-discovered Active Rain and just am fully committed. Glad to see you endorse my decision.

I do have a blog elsewhere, but just for me to link my website to, and is has a great index system, which I can't find here. But no one comments, and i have no idea who is reading, and there is no sense of community. I love that about AR. All the comments give you such good feedback of what people respond to, and the knowledge base is incredible. I can't believe how much I learn here.

Sally: I think the index is based on the key words you place like tags when you blog...You can always ask ActiveBrad about that - he is super to answer your questions and even better will show you one on one what and how to do things!

I agree - the posting and feedback is what feeds bloggers and writers - oh how they are the now the same!

As you said, you never know how good you got it until you try something else. I am still fairly new to Active Rain, but I enjoy the posts. I am learning that you need to develop relationships both in your local community but also in AR. I am finding that bloging is the best way you can educate yourself, clients and fellow real estate agents.

Great way to put it with AR as a base. It is a spectacular foundation, and while I am using other platforms along with AR, I consider myself loyal and most appreciative.
