Another Tax Increase for California Residents

Don't look now Californians, tomorrow brings yet another tax increase (in addition to those gifted to us by Barack Hussein Obama). Starting April 1st, state sales tax increases 1% statewide and over 1% in a few additional cities.

Los Angeles' sales tax will now be over 10% on taxable purchases!!!

I'll definitely be looking for a way around the sales tax the next time I purchase an automobile. Maybe I'll take up residence in Oregon for the required 90 days (where there is NO sales tax, because the government isn't going crazy spending the taxpayers $$$).

Every time I turn around, I'm getting taxed and taxed again.

ENOUGH!!!

Here in Sacramento, we are up to 8.75%, but I guess I shouldn't complain...it's not 10%! Your Oregon idea isn't bad!

Paula- Thanks for visiting and the comment. The bad thing is... we keep letting them take a little bit more... then we get used to it... then a little bit more.... we get used to that... then.... you get the idea.

Kind of like how the gas prices go up.

Cameron, I agree that sales tax over 10% is preposterous! Congrats, so now people in L.A. will pay 40% of their gross income in taxes instead of everyone else at 35% (ha ha). On another note, I think that to call our U.S. President by his middle name in this manner is a little disrespectful. I may not agree with some of his policies, but I respect his position. Just something to think about ;)
