When you click on "My Home" at the top of your screen, what do YOU see?
I know what I see. I see today's most recent blogs. It's what's to the right that shocks me.
My subscribed blogs. Millions upon millions of subscribed blogs.
Okay, not millions, but definitely a lot!
I click on associations. Millions of associations.
Okay, once again, I do tend to exaggerate, but you get the idea.
I LOVE having "friends" in real estate. I love having people I can send referrals to, people who share their ideas with me, and people who are knowledgable, creative, caring, and fun. I love to hear from everyone - I love all the input I get. I love being on Active Rain!
There are the blogs that are thought provoking, like Your Blog is Your Presentation by Sarah Cooper, which raises a good point - how are you presenting yourself? I definitely got to wondering how I appear to other agents!
There are blogs about how to become more visible to internet clients, such as Rich Schiffer's The Hidden Value of Comments: "You Spilled Google Juice all over my Blog!"
There are tips for potential clients, like Stephanie Edward's blog 12 Steps To Buying Your Home
There are humorous blogs, to make you laugh - Why I Don't Take Pictures For Other REALTORS Anymore! written by yours truly.
There are listings, too! For example, 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath luxury living at it's finest. Brand new and over 4,200 sq.ft. by Craig Bartels.
I do spend a lot of time on AR. I do a lot of research, a lot of reading, writing, and learning. A lot of communicating, friend making, and joke passing.
What I really appreciate, though, is everyone's opinions, willingness to help a "newbie" out, and input. Without that, I don't know where I would be.
My plea to you? Keep AR as great as it is. Comment, rate posts, and make friends. Teach, learn, and allow others to do the same. Be honest - if you think a blog is inappropriate, let that person know. They will most likely appreciate that opinion. That's what AR is all about.
I want to thank everyone for all the help they have given me - it's been amazing, and I hope it keeps coming!
