Jackpot is enjoying his first taste of spring grass!  It was hard to get him to stand still. He wanted to go for the grass ~ Marian, the Horse Girl

Hey Barb, Jackpot loves good weather. If it's windy & cold he is the first to stand by the gate when it's time to come in for dinner!    Hey Ann, Jack was so excited to come out & eat on the lawn!    Rita, Thanks. I think that he's fabulous too. I waited 10+ years for a horse like him!

Hi Marian. The way our house sits we can see most of our development and most of the people here have horses. Although we still have snow, when the snow melts between snowfalls we are beginning to see green grass. The horses are loving that and you can see the excitement in their eyes that spring for us is right around the corner (we hope).

Marian, What a beautiful horse! I don't blame him, I'm excited about spring too! Although I have little interest in eating the grass.... LOL

Spring!  Hooray!  I am trapped in Colorado today by snow conditions closing I-80 and I-25, trying to get home to Idaho.  I hear the weather is a sun shiny 60 if I can ever make it through Wyoming and back to Coeur d'Alene!  Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day!

Hey Janna, Hopefully that Colorado snow is melting! Where is spring??? Margaret,Jackpot is his nicname. 'Tho I feel like I hit the jackpot every single day that I see this boy. He is massive, 17.3 hands high & weighs 1,750 lbs! A normal horse weighs about 1,000lb. I need a 3 step mounting block or a nearby picnic table if we are trail riding- just to get on this big guy. I've dreampt about riding to music, ever since I was a little girl. Now I can do it with this accomplished dressage horse!

I have a horse rental place not too far from me. If you promise not to tell my other half -- he thinks riding horses is dangerous -- I occasionally go over there and rent a horse for a couple of hours.
