So so sorry for the delay in posting an update of my own, though Tisza has certainly been posting her fair share of updates on her blog and has even made a call for other contestants to disclose their blog statistics.
-
Tisza got a client via blogging! This is fantastic!! Maybe I should just end this post right now on the high note?? Nah, I'll go on.
- We added a Kiva.org widget & a ONE.org banner to the blog's sidebar. This was entirely Tisza's suggestion after seeing them on my personal blog, but I certainly love to see people supporting great causes.
- Tisza and I spoke late last week about further improvements to be made to her blog - I'll be adding a "Most Viewed" plug-in that shows the posts with the most page views.
- Of course, Tisza has been writing great content all along
I've been meaning to send Tisza some topic suggestions for her to write about. In an attempt to be totally trasparent, I'll publish my list of suggested topics here for everyone to see (and nope, I haven't even sent these to Tisza yet - sorry Tisza). So, here they are --
- Southern California Day Trips
- Southern California Weekend Trips
- Route 66 Tourist Stops
- The History of Route 66
- Favorite cars from the Route 66 Era
- Where Route 66 Got It's Name
- Great Restaurants in Claremont, CA
That's all I have for right now, but I'll try to be more timely regarding my next update.
Hi Drew,
Great ideas for topics, trying to maintain a consistent output level and consistent quality can be quite a challenge. And sometimes, I need topics to launch my brain from. I try very hard not to have what appears on my site not be directed at other Real Estate Professionals, but rather toward consumer's, community residents and hopefully future clients. I don't want to just plop drivel on either site (here on AR or on Route66Living.com).
I must admit that I have been a bit surprised to find that thus far none of the apprentices or the coaches have taken up my challenge to show their stats. I did note that by using yet another feature I just discovered on Google Analytics, I can see what country's, states and even cities are housing my reader's. The largest number of readers overall is coming from California. So, I can only take that to mean that my message is reaching my audience or starting to.
In the interest of transparency and full disclosure, I am also going to take this opportunity to say publicly what I have already said privately...
Thank you for taking all of the time you have given, and sharing all of the information you have shared with me. I really appreciate everything that you have done and there is not a day that has gone by since we first communicated directly, the day when I found out that I would be your pick to be part of the Project Blogger event, when I have not been grateful for the opportunity, honored by your choice and proud of my/our achievements.
You will always hold a special place in my heart for all that you have done and continue to do, not just because of this contest, but because of the person you are. I am quite pleased to have you as a part of my team and even more proud to consider you a friend. Thank you for everything!
Your biggest fan,
Tisza
