The former Wall manufacturing facility is now listed on the market with Paul Johnson and Associates (www.pauljohnrealtors.com) , Abilene and Calvin & Company, Sweetwater (www.calvinandcompany.com). With a swarm of activity in Nolan County from the pending Tenaska development of the Trailblazer Energy Center to the continuing growth in wind energy development, the amount of available industrial facilities will begin decreasing.
Texas regions that will continue seeing growth in wind energy are Abilene-Sweetwater, Lubbock-Plainview, and Amarillo-Pampa. While new facilities would be favorable, the use of and retrofitting the current inventory of high quality buildings makes more sense from a dollar cost. With the amount of time it would take to identify a development site to completion, the choice to modify and turnkey is more appealing.
