February FL Sales Numbers

February's home sales were up 20% statewide which is great news!! At the same time there was a 29% decline in prices. You can see the regional breakdown from the chart below.

Once again, you can see a pattern of the areas with the greatest price reductions saw the highest growth in sales...Obviously this is to be expected, and the quicker sellers drop their prices back to reasonable levels (pre-2005, 2006) the quicker the market will level itself out.

The statistics are very promising. Many markets in Florida the sales are increasing. That could show signs of a bottom.

Sales in Orlando have been up for the past 3 months and inventory going down 6 months in a row. However I dont think our market values will increase anytime soon.

Love to see the sales numbers....hate to see the prices; but, it is what it is. We will see what will happen in the coming months when the real market works itself into the REO market. Hopefully the optimism will continue.........

It is interesting to look at the numbers - There's a pattern of the areas that drop prices the most have the highest increase in sales volume...
