Another tragic, senseless shooting of innocent folks just going about their lives in Binghamton, NY at the American Civic Association building.  In this case I believe I heard there was a citizen test in progress.  13 people killed including the "shooter" a Vietnamese immigrant.

Apparently, this person didn't embark on his mission to make demands/concessions for beliefs or anything else, but, purely to kill as many people as he could before killing himself.

How sad that it appears to be a side effect/impact of a failing/problematic economy seems to bring out so many more of these senseless acts of terror and killing.  It certainly seems to be happening more often.

Robin and I send our condolences to all the families who will now have to deal with the losses of family members and the citizens of Binghamton, NY.

There appears to be no defense against these types of assaults except to become an armed society -- and even if that were to happen there's no guarantee that would prevent such acts.
