It's official...Giants release Burress

The NY football Giants announced today that they have decided to release their troubled star wide receiver Plaxico Burress from the team. The star player, who caught the winning touchdown pass in last years Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots, has been in and out of trouble both on the field and off.

Now the Totowa NJ resident will have to search for a new team if he manages to clear the criminal charges against him stemming from last falls shooting incident (involving an unregistered gun) in a NYC nightclub.

Its a shame athletes today just don't seem to get it. Do they? Thanks for the update.

LOL!  Glad to see that Plaxico has some great Realtors in his corner to help him sell his house!  Wonder what kind of price tag that brings.

I'm a Cowboys fan so I never "loved" Plaxico, but I do appreciate his talent.  I guess everybody has a bad day right?  Hasn't everyone shot themselves in the leg at one point or another?  :)

I bet he will soon be looking to buy a house in Oakland Ca.  He will be playing for the Raiders and catching passes from Michael Vick.  Oakland has always been a home for misfits and "misunderstood" athletes.

Terry - no, some of them just don't get it. It's a shame really.

Jared - don't know, I've got to do the market analysis first - lol. Maybe Plax will go to Dallas and we'll get TO...ha ha. thanks for checking in!

Don - Raiders eh? that's a possibility. After I get the listing I'll refer him to you for the sale in Oakland - lol

to bad for the Giants.. they've been a slow downward spiral since they won their Superbowl. The lack of a power wide receiver has and will continue to haunt them. I'm a Cowboys fan, so this is great news. ;)

Jim, the Giants are definitely going to better off without Plax. The distraction are just too much for a team as good as the Giants.

Mr James,

Once the hockey season is over, for a plane fare, the Nutsy one might be enticed to come play football in New York.

Danny, I agree. I haven't forgotten about your new site...I'm getting there!

Nutsy...no offense, but the Giants don't need another "nutsy" player
