 God knew how to put a SMILE on my face !!

Sometime today (4/3/2009) "Christianity and Real Estate" , a group about what it is like to be a Christian and practicing real estate, hit its 1300th member!!!

I am not sure who it is, AND I would have to leaf
through the 13 or so pages in the membership roster to find out who this person is...... BUT.......

AMEN !!!

Our group has been in existence since 01/25/2007. I saw a need for an undiluted Christian presence here in The ActiveRain©Real Estate Network.

There are so many groups that are "Feel Good" and "Just Positive in Nature" in ActiveRain....I think those groups are great, BUT I felt a group that was from a Christian perspective was sorely needed.

 

 

Our group is usually on the second page or first page
for Active Groups and is on the second page for Number
of Members.

 

 Satan goes about roaring as a lion...to see whom he can devour....

After our founding, almost immediately we were attacked by a member of ActiveRain© who threatened to bring a Fair Housing lawsuit against the Network for having us here.

Congratulations with your success. I personally don't share the perspective that GOD is involved with my work on a daily basis, but that's my opinion & I don't push it or demand others think like me to be a friend or colleague. We should all be able to co-exist so long as everyone is playing nice. JMO. ;)

Greg................I NEVER insinuated that at all...this is a group of real estate professionals that have the same beliefs...and we encourage each other in those beliefs.....

We HAVE never excluded anyone from our group....... Christian or NON-Christian......

I have PLENTY of non-Christian referral members of AR among my over 300 associates, Greg.....

Wow, here you go, what great news.  See....you thought of it, made it happen, it is happening, and look where your at now....I guess you did make sure God was in control of your endeavor in making sure Christianity and Real Estate was a part of what has become the best place to come to on Active Rain.  Why?

1. Friendship

2. Praise

3. Prayer

4. To give to another person

5.  To share what God is doing in our lives, daily.

Well...it looks like I will be writing a post about something that just happened in AR...... and it is going to be a lightning rod of controversy......

A post containing a LOT of profanity was FEATURED in AR..... EVEN the subject of the post had profanity in it......

I raised a stink and was actually laughed at by some...... and was the recipient of some "parental browbeating" from others........The author of the post told me she would turn herself into "the principle"....... as if I were in elementary school..... and I was to be talked to in this way to laugh it all away....... and mock my stand for a showing a professional stance to potential customers.........

This post with the profanity IS NOT members only either...... it is public.... SO potential customers can see everything being said....

I could see making a post like this members only to protect and keep a professional image to potential customers.... in FACT this has been talked about several times in AR in the past...and LOTS of people have agreed with this point of view.... if you are going to put questionable stuff in a post, make it just to a group OR make it members only.......

BUT....NOW the fence-line has been breached and ANYTHING goes now...who cares what potential customers see now...... Almost everyone was saying that the author was to be COMMENDED for being "real" and "honest".

Up till the time I said my .02 cents, only a handful of people chided the author tongue in cheek for her "masterpiece".

I will be making a post with ALL the other posts talking about this subject in the past....... and how things have changed now.....

Just as the word of God says......."...........they live to fulfill their fleshly lusts with an ever increasing appetite for more.....and they put down anyone who does not join their ranks......."

Well...DO pray for me, Sis....... I am gonna need it.......

Alex, my heart was heavy tonight and I am unable to sleep, I usually do not come on here this late unless there is a reason.  I see now why... This saddens me to think we would feature a post as such.  I know we how you feel inside, I am praying that God will continue to use this group to do His work, which will allow all of us... Christians and non Christians to come and enjoy friendships with one another.  There are wonderful people in this group that do uphold the rules of the group and they still are so valued with their writing as well. 

There has to be a safe place in any organization to be able to come to, and pray, praise, worship or just have great fellowship with one and another.  This is that safe haven place in Active Rain, keep the faith my Nephew, Brother in Christ, and close Friend.  You have helped me and my family in so many ways.

Well, Bob..."WE" did NOT...it was a Moderator in the AR network that did it...NOT any of us...... I have written an e-mail to Bob Stweart yesterday and have not gotten any reply as of yet......
