20 Comments on Something to Consider....
wow, I heard once that the most significant moments of you life will pass by without your evening know it. This is such an excellent post. I'll be giving this to my daughter in her 8th grade. graduation card. Never too early to teach these kinds of lessons
Great post,
Sometimes my best moments are not big deals at all... just special ones.

Liz - This is so self-evident that sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle of daily activity. It reminds me of the song by John Mayer, "Say":

Liz, with regard to words and this post of yours I like this quotation:
Sometimes the hardest things to say are the things that really matter most.
Hi Liz. It's so true that the feelings are what count. I think this is true of all of our sale as well. Its a sad case when the decision to buy is made solely with the brain. Most often, it's the heart that make the choice.
Kate - Cool.....my daughter graduates high school in June and off to University....oh the lessons they will learn..:-)
donald - its true - they're off not the moments you would expect.......I guess that why they call them'unexpected moments! ' lol
Jason - I love that song! - its one of my favorites -and somehow it slipped my mind I should have put a link to it on here....
Gary - thats so true - i love that quote !
Bob - I guess ideally you want the balance between the mind and the heart! :-)
Liz, I've had people tell me years later that something I said reallly made a diference. Sometimes it's even a good difference!
Liz--Wow...good message here. We never know when we will make that difference in someone's life sometimes it is the small things that count the most. Thanks for the reminder!
Pat - for better or for worse - we make a difference........its so nice to hear when its a good one! :-)
Teri - So true Teri - we never know when...... a the little things aren't necessarily so little........they might just be THE thing thatmakes the difference...:-)
Liz: What an excellent post. Very wise. It's so nice to see you get philosophical for a change. Let's have more of this !
Yes... so often when we pass through the living of these moments... we fail to realize how special they are. Then... in the future... we look back and realize how critically we failed to actually "live" in that moment and savor it. Such foolish things we do. I know, at least, that I have done more than my share of these foolish things. I have so many thing that I could go back in time and re-live... to slow it down and savor the moment like I should have at the time. Ah yes... hindsight is most easily 20/20. Again... thanks for sharing... take care...
Well, here are my words to you! "I LIKE YOU!" Hope that feeling is one that you will remember for a long time! Also, I'm sorry Portland REBar is booked up, really want to meet you in person.
(By the way Mark did try to get me to "STAY" at Keller Williams, I had a secondary license with them and dropped that state) But, the Portland office was very different than the Vancouver office. Had the owners of the Vancouver office owned a Portland office, I would have joined them in a heart beat!
Liz, great post! So true, when we less expect it the smallest thing could have the biggest impact on our lives. Thanks for sharing.
Liz, if only there weren't so many voices in my head, all talking to me at the same time! LOL I once had a professor/friend who believed that "Words are Magic!" I believe he was correct. ;-)
Hi Liz... feelings are a part of us in a way that words or environmental conditions can never be, because they belong to others. The memory for feelings is long, so it is all the more important that we choose our words carefully because the feelings they trigger are ours and will be lasting.
Karen Anne - philosophical for a change? lol..........you're so right, too bad 20/20 hindsight wasn't 20/20 foresight!
Todd - How sweet! And I will remember! :-) I'm sorry about the rebar thing too.........i'm planning on making a trip out to Canon Beach this summer so hopefully then!
Venancio - you never know do you? :-)
Randy - words ARE magic!.......sometimes BLACK magic! lol
Steve - memories of 'feelings' can last a long long time.........thats for sure...
So VERY true. I had a similar quote at the bottom of my email signature that said almost exactly that.
Liz so true sometimes a little think can have a great impact and years later someone might tell you what I difference it made.
Reminds me of the old nursery rhyme, which was, and still is, oh so wrong. It's why I practice remaining Pleasant, Polite, Personable, Positive, and Professional under all circumstances. Sometimes it is difficult, though.
