Stonegate is a Planned Unit Development which began in 1989 on the westside of Hood River about 2 miles from town. A high quality of design is encouraged with natural earth tone or muted colors and materials, usable front porches and outdoor living spaces as well as alternative energy technology. Home designs should "focus on front porches" and  "De-emphasize garage doors" from the street view.  The Stonegate Community is nearly built out. There are currently only 2 remaining undeveloped lots.One is currently listed RMLS #7011139 642 Hunter Rd. $140,000. Existing homes for sale in Stonegate are limited and have been selling quickly when they come on the market.
