Now and again we all run across Loan Officers who don't always do the right thing. The good thing - they are farther and fewer between than years past. Still - sometimes they are out there. Waiting - lurking - preying on Buyers who don't know any better.
Mine was one who has an extremely high "Processing Fee". Now I know we all have to make money. But padding fees is something I am not crazy about

and won't tolerate.
Of course I didn't this huge fee until less than 24 hours before settlement when the Final Hud arrives in my In-box. I call the Loan Officer; only to get his voicemail. Surprising huh?
So I email him and ask for an explanation. I got some song and dance that made no sense and then; without argument; he "gave them" a $100 credit. WOW - such generosity! There was at least another $200 there that was uncalled for.
Of course when this Loan Officer may not realize is this: His card was deleted from Virtual Rolodex. Just think; he made a couple extra bucks; only to lose a referral partner.
I won't let any of my clients or customers deal with someone who "pads" their costs so blatantly.

Good for you Jim, I am also in the business of looking out for my client. I can't stand snakes in the grass. Not only would I delete him from my rolodex, but all my co-workers and colleagues would be sure to hear about it.
