Where is the economy headed? Will we have jobs next year? Will we have money to survive? I honestly don't have the answers to all these questions.
But what I can say is that we have to continue living life the best we can. I get this attitude from being the husband of a 18 year cancer survivor. My wife Marianne has battled cancer three times. We have learned that little things don't really matter. That we have to stay positive and enjoy life as we go. We have no guarantees on the future so it is important to live each day.
Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces,
I would still plant my apple tree.

To look forward and not back,
To look out and not in, and
To lend a hand."

and sometimes it's only a choice of attitude."

I was 52 years old. I had diabetes and incipient arthritis. I had lost my gall bladder and most of my thyroid gland in earlier campaigns, but I was convinced that the best was ahead of me. -- Ray Kroc founder of McDonald's
Every time you state what you want or believe, you're the first to hear it. It's a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don't put a ceiling on yourself. -- Oprah Winfrey
Russ: Such an inspiring post. How little so much of what we worry about matters when you weight it against something like cancer. I have a loved one who is battling for his life with cancer. Thanks for your post.
