You have to WANT to sell your house...

I have some new buyers I started working with today.  They called me up.  I scheduled the appointments the day before we were to go and see some homes.  I scheduled 4 houses to go and see.  Somehow I was left with only 1 of the 4 to show them.  All of these appointments were being scheduled through Centralized Showings.

  • The 1st one flat denied the showing for no good reason.  Asked if we would show another time.
  • The 2nd one accepted the appointment.  Then 10 minutes before showing asked if we could move the appointment back 3 hours.
  • The 3rd one accepted the appointment, but then they called me up and said no showings until further notice.
  • The 4th one was vacant and not a problem.

What's the deal with sellers who have their homes on the market but don't allow showings??  It sure is hard to sell your home if you don't allow Realtors to show it for you...

You do have to wonder about the seller's motivation when this happens, don't you.
