WESTRIDGE SUBDIVISION WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD AGAIN!

 Those of us who live in Westridge understand and realize how great a community it is. And as much as we sometime loathe all the rules of a home owners association, those rules help keep the community safe and beautiful and a sought after place to live. And this award proves that. All Westridge community association officials and volunteers need to take a bow! Job well done.

Westridge won the 2008 Community Association of The Year Award in the huge association category for the greater Washington DC metropolitan area. The award sounds impressive but what does it really mean? Simply stated Westridge excels in all facets of the community governance and operations.

If you've never taken a drive into the Westridge Subdivision, treat yourself. The community is  located off Old Bridge Rd on the far end of Lake Ridge heading toward the Prince William Parkway.Not long ago I wrote a post about Westridge and how it's a sought after place to live. Part of what makes Westridge such a sought after community is it's stunning grounds and street scape's. The developers really thought about what the community would look like as it matured. "Most lots are heavily treed and the homes range in size from starter homes to custom homes on acreage." Westridge has it's own elementary school and that's a huge attraction for families. Whenever someone is thinking about moving to a new area, one of the first concerns is schools. Well lucky for us here in Prince William County we have access to great resources for learning everything about our schools. Here are some links to the schools that service Westridge Subdivisionin Woodbridge, Virginia.

 Prince William County Schools  Here you will find a great deal of information about education within the county, border changes, links to schools with web sites, school menus (in case your child forgot to bring home the printed one), and much, much more.

Westridge Elementary School  Visit the home page for Westridge Elementary. You will find Westridge Elementary at the very top of Westridge Drive, turn right on Knightsbridge and the entrance is on the left.  

Woodbridge Middle School  is the middle school that services the children of Westridge. Some county middle schools offer IB programs and you can learn about those on the PWC school site.

Woodbridge Senior High School Westridge high school students are zoned to attend Woodbridge Senior High School.  If you student is interested in special programs, many are offered by county high schools.  Don't forget to check out the main Prince William County website about how students can choose which high school they would like to attend.

Since Westridge is a planned urban development or what most refer to as a  mixed use community, Westridge also offer condo's and apartments for first time home buyers and renters. 

For those seeking a condominium lifestyle we have  Somerset CondosThe town homes are back to back units built in the late 80s they feature great floor plans for those that want the look and feel of town home. Many offer garages! As you pull into Westridge, turn right on Quarterhorse,the condo's are on your left.

Renters can enjoy Westridge as well. Windsor Park Apartments is located just inside the community of Westridge.
