The Community of Lone Tree has plenty of activities for those who would like something to do. The good news is you don't have to travel far to find good company and a way to satisfy your interests. Please join the group of your choice and grow your mind...

• Writing. The Lone Tree Writers' Association meets twice a month in the Lone Tree Civic Center. If you are interested in fiction, non-fiction or poetry they welcome you. For information call: 303-799-1220
• Photography. The Lone Tree Photography Club has a workshop at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month at the Lone Tree Civic Center. the Photography Club also has a juried show in the fall. All levels of photographers are welcome. Information: 303-790-9710 or 303-790-2794.
• Visual arts. The Lone Tree Visual Arts Group meets at the Lone Tree Civic Center on the first and third Saturdays of each month beginning at 9 a.m.. IN addition to these workshops with talented instructors who work in a variety of media, the Arts Group holds a holiday show every year. All kinds of artists and all levels of experience are encouraged to join. Information: 303-799-1220
• Beading. The Lone Tree Beading Interest Group gets together twice a month at the Lone Tree Civic Center. Members receive how-to instruction for creating beadwork. For information, call 303-790-9855
• Bridge. The Lone Tree Duplicate Bridge Group meets at the Lone Tree Rec Center every Friday at 1 p.m. All bridge enthusiasts are invited but bring your own partner. For information, call 303-792-9734.
• Recreation. The Lone Tree Recreation Center is operated by South Suburban Parks and Recreation. It has swimming pools, basketball courts, and exercise facilities. Located in RidgeGate, the Rec Center is open during the week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Golf. Lone Tree's namesake, the Lone Tree Golf Club and Hotel, is a public golf course owned by South Suburban Parks and Recreation. For information 303-790-0202
• Music. The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra performs four concerts a year at the Cornerstone Baptist Church on the SW corner of Lone Tree Parkway and Lincoln Avenue. All concerts begin at 7:30 and are free and open to the public. Children are welcome and are encouraged to come. The Orchestra is always looking for additional musicians, too. • Books. The Lone Tree Library has many events for people of all ages including lots of regularly scheduled events. These include Baby Lapsit, Family Storytime, All ages Storytime, Foreign Film Nights, and both daytime and evening adult book groups. • Art show. The Lone Tree Arts Commission presents a major art show every year. Its objective is to bring quality artworks created in a variety of media to the City. Last year, the 300+ entries came from artists throughout the Front Range. The juror (always a nationally known artist/art teacher) usually selects about a hundred pieces to include in the show. • Photography show. The Lone Tree Photographic Art Show is an annual showcase for the talented photographers of our City. the show, which gets bigger each year takes place in the fall and is open to everyone w ho lives or works in Lone Tree as well as member of the Lone Tree Photography Club.
