Water Bunnies at the Recreation Center Incline Village

Picture this...Over 100 people on the pool deck at the Incline Village Recreation Center, The Easter Bunny in swim trunks, kids waiting, dangling their feet in the pool as the lifeguards scatter hundreds of eggs in the water, some weighted to sink while most float the surface of the pool.  Easter Egg Buckets are distributed to patiently waiting kids and then the whistle blows.  The kids litter the pool, legs flying, arms frantic to get their hands on as many eggs as possible.  Once the eggs were all collected the kids happily ran off to exchange their eggs for goodies and the next wave was ready to go.

My hats off to the employees that made this day happen.  I love to see the creativeness and use of public facilities for events that stimulate our communities activities.  And, instead of the old blah de blah Easter festivities, Incline Village has kicked it up a notch.

It's great to live in a place that has fun activities and a sense of community, especially for the kids.
