You Qualify for The First Time Buyer Tax Credit if You Haven't Owned a Home in the Last 3 Years

Happy People I really thought that this was an important point to bring up.  At least 2 of my recent clients have been involved in divorce.  The sale of their properties has been over three years and they have been renting since then.  When I told them that they qualified for an $8,000 tax credit because they hadn't owned real property in the last three years they were very surprised.  No one had a heart attack or needed hospitalized, but they were none the less very happy.

Remember... You do not have to pay the $8,000 back.  It is not a loan.  It is a definitive and absolute rebate.

In my market which is Greensburg, Hempfield Township, Unity Township, North Huntingdon to Cranberry PA, Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.  That money can go a long way. Or at the very least be a down payment on a new Lexus :-)

I think this should be changed from: "First time buyer tax credit" to: "Havent owned in awhile tax credit"

I think more and more people are finding out how wonderful this credit really is. At first people weren't sure about it, but if you are a first time home buyer or a person who hasn't owned a home in the last three years, you better act quickly as this is just too good to pass up.
