Oh MAN!!! It can be rough can't it? When someone you have tried to extend a helping hand to just doesn't get it and abuses your help. Not only taking advantage of your generosity but neglecting the very thing you gave them to help.  Everyone thinks that being generous and kind hearted means you treat everyone with the same spirit of giving....NOT SO.....we need to be frugal with where we give our time and energy.

Ask any gardener, you wouldn't plant a seed in soil that cannot host life.  You wouldn't plant orchids in Chicago in the middle of winter, you probably wouldn't try to grow a banana tree in Alaska either.  Some soil and climate is better breeding grounds for certain types of seeds while others are not.  Just because you don't plant your seed in ANY OL' ground doesn't mean you are stingy or inconsiderate....it means you are wise and you know the value of your seed.

If we keep planting our seeds in infertile ground, we will end up frustrated and more than likely become bitter as an effect of our results.  If someone who had borrowed money from you repeatedly, never paid you back, you will eventually stop lending them the cash.  Most people don't want to put their hard earned money into the hands of a homeless person, in fear that he will buy alcohol or something destructive, because we know that isn't good ground to sew that particular seed, maybe a sandwich would be easier to give.

We can be generous and wise at the same time.  You can be a smart giver.  Our opportunites to give are to be treated as a precious breeding ground.   What results do you want from your planting?  You have to know your seed as well as your host and you can still be the generous person you desire to be without feeling like you are always being taken for a ride.

Give till your hearts content!!
