Lock boxes

Why is it so difficult to explain to agents how to open the older lock boxes. They should teach this at the board, your local office or have a course on it. It is so frustrating, to have an agent call to say Bob, I can't open the lock box and they have an attitude as well. I make all my listings as easy as possible to show, I know that all agents times, are money and therefor work hard to achieve this goal through lock boxes. So if you don't remember how to open your locker in High School look for HELP. Lock Boxes are for ease of showing, hopefully they make your life easy. I do use the Electronic lock boxes but in Miami-Dade county most agents don't spend the money to have the Supra Key. So I have to use the older lock box. They have a dial you spin and letters, two times to the right to clear land on first letter. Back to left past the next letter once and land on it the second time, back to the right to the third letter. Push down the black lever on top of the dial and "MAGIC" there your keys. Please lock the doors when you leave and shut everything off. THANK YOU for Showing

When I started in this business the broker I worked for had been in business for 25 years. She could not open a lock-box. I'm telling you it was not in her genes! I tried and tried to teach her and she just could not get it. When Supra came out I was thrilled because I did not have to meet her at the homes anymore to open the boxes. If I could not meet her she would have the customer open the box. Now that is really scary but what was she to do. There are some people who will never get it!

I like the security on the electronic lockboxes much better. "Most" agents won't spend money for a Supra Key? Unbelievable. But why do the rest of you "dumb down" to accomodate them, instead of their having to buy a Supra Key to stay in the business?
