I Love What You've Done With The Place!

By
Home Stager with Creative Home Expressions

I've long admired your house and your renovation/purchase of this family home will work so well for you!   I love the crown molding in your living room; it sets that paint color off so nicely.  I love how the rooms flow into each other and you can pretty much see from the front door straight to the back.  I think it's great how you set up a nice computer station in the family room.   And that plasma TV, over the fireplace, I wanted to do the same thing in my house.

I love how your home office gets that light from the front windows - it must be a great room to work in.  Your books look fantastic on those built in shelves and the family pictures interspersed among them break things up nicely.  Yet, I've never been inside your home.

Tired of people looking through your windows because you haven't decided on window treatments yet?  Tired of looking at those paper shades that you "temporarily" put up three years ago?  I am a Window Fashions Certified Professional and I can help you choose window treatments that will work for your home.    Custom window treatments can be fabricated and ready for installation in about four weeks.

There are so many great choices in window coverings -- I'm sure you can help your clients get the right look the first time!  So often when I'm staging I leave putting up the window coverings until the end -- and I'm always amazed at what a difference they make!

I love this post!  I couldn't figure out where you were going at first.  I think you have very lucky clients!  I love window tretments, but really don't like making them that much!

Kathy, If you were closer I'd have had you over!  I had gotten rid of every curtain in the house (that's 17 windows!!) and am FINALLY down to one room.  It's not easy choosing window treatments and a wonderful service you offer.

Margaret, Sheila & Carole ~ Thank you! I'm a big fan of window treatments and if they look great AND serve a function - all the better.

LOL, You got me!  I am one who throws my windows open as many days a year as possible, to let the fresh air and sunshine in. (Sometimes the hubs thinks I'm crazy, as I open them in December in Colorado if it is sunny!) .  I have had the expensive drapes, (on an unopenable window) and just sheers...that billow in the breeze, and everything in-between.  Tell me, do you prefer to blend the window to the wall color, or make it pop and be a focal point?

Hi Cheryl ~ I love having my windows open too when it's a nice day - sometimes you just need to clear the house out.  I do both, depending on the job and what the client wants.  In my own house I do not "blend"! : )

Jacqueline ~ Thank you! I'm actually putting together an interior decorating proposal now that will include custom window treatments - the client is tired of folding up the paper shades! : )

Hi Kathy...You had me fooled.

I thought you were going to write something about how the photos of a well staged home help potential buyers feel as though they have actually been in the house.

You're going to be very successful with this aspect of your business.  Good job!

Kate ~ Thank you! I'm hoping it will bring more attention to window treatments as something that people can call on me (or any interior decorator) for.
