The home is in a wonderful part of the city. It isn't perfect - no home is; but the buyers liked it and wanted it. The Sellers were real people - not some bank nor were they having to sell Short. They could actually make the decision to accept an offer.
The Listing Agent - an Old Pro. (Not saying she is "OLD"; but that she is an experienced, ethical and very responsive agent.)
With the current state of the market; many of my clients are dealing with agents who work mostly (or exclusively) with banks or short sales. Often these agents are less than responsive (nor are their clients). The negotiation is often slow and painful.
So this deal; I so appreciated dealing with an agent who wanted to get the deal done. She understood that while the listed property is in a very popular neighborhood; it is not perfect and things like closing dates require co-ordination of many parties.
This agent was fantastic and I appreciate it. Now we still have a few Home Inspection items to discuss; but after our initial discussion - I am sure she will help facilitate a mutually agreeable solution.
I am sure that as problems may arise - there will be no yelling, no blaming and no silly games - just good, open communication. Oh; I wish they were all like this!
