Sunset At The Park

Inspired by Rich Jacobson's "The View From Here," I decided to post a photo I took the other day as I was leaving a local park with my kids. I posted this on Monday at In The Viewfinder, but felt compelled to share it here as well.

I love sunsets. Love them. I go out of my way to see them. So as I put my kids into their car seats, I noticed the jungle gym silohuetted against the sun and happily pulled out my iPhone.

Jeff - sunsets are my favorites, I'll enjoy every moment I get to see the sunset, especially on the beach in this beautiful sunshine state of Florida.

Jeff, I enjoy the Wordless Wednesday photos...creative photography is always a delight to see. I, too, love sunsets, and though we have tons of beautiful sunsets in Arizona, I need to get away from all of the homes and the telephone wires, etc., in order to get one - thanks for dropping by the Rain.....;-)

that is a cool shot, and I can imagine the kids were behind you laughing and talking in the back seat ..then you see the serene moment and all goes quiet in your mind for one second as you snap the sunset! ...this is how it is a "wordless" Wed !

I love sunsets too! This is awesome with the swings in the background and the sun shinning through. Wow the Iphone did this or Jeff?

Jeff, I loved the photo. Used to live in Washington, couldn't get enough of sunsets on the ocean. And, it was great to see TLW back in the game. Thanks to both of you for a lovely evening.. meow!!!!!

But sunsets are so difficult to shoot, it is practically impossible to get good photos. When you look at them with your eyes, it is very differnet from when you shoot with the camera. the camera makes things darker, and it is difficult to compensate for that.

Your photo is for me personally is instant "r & r"...total kick-back time. Each and every time I see what others are sharing via WW, it's nice a like opportunity to smell the roses.

There's that park again! Can you tell I'm in awe of it? Now it's taunting me...

Hi Jeff...I probably have more than a hundred photos of sunsets taken from our deck looking at the lake. The colors vary from one sunset to another and the reflections in the water excite me. I'm forever grabbing my camera and out the door I go to catch just one more sunset.
