That's a gorgeous butterfly! I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that. I love spring......all the new flowers budding....birds.....butterflies!
I too love Spring. This is beautiful, will be awhile before we have butterflies. Thank you for sharing yours.
Hope & Treva - we had to go find our butterlies the week before last at the Pacific Science Museum's Tropical Butterfly exhibit, as it will be a couple more months before ours make their appearance here in Southern Oregon. Thanks for commenting.
That is a wordless Wednesday I really enjoy how nature just gives us a beautiful view of the earths beauty. Thank you for sharing its calming.
Have a great day,
Kim White
Karen, those are cool colors on the butterfly. It reminds me of a place in Puerto Rico that made artwork out of butterflies.
Karen- A tropical Butterfly exhibit, how cool is that? I'm not sure if our butterflies are out yet, I know the hummingbirds are. I like this particular shot, hadn't seen one like that before.
Karen beautiful shot! The color scheme on that butterfly is amazing.
Kim - Nature's beauty is my favorite kind!
Kevin - Wow! That sounds like a wonderful sight to see in Puerto Rico!
Kathy - It really was an amazing exhibit, and we were so grateful to have finally gotten to see it.
Jackie - Our youngest's favorite color is blue, so needless to say we got a LOT of photos of that particular species...just a few of this one :-)
Thank you all for stopping by.
That picture is so calm and peaceful! Takes me away from the short sale madness! Thanks
Melissa - My pleasure! Glad you enjoy the butterflies, too.
What a great photo. We have a great butterfyl exhibit at our local zoo. I am sure you must be thrilled that spring has arrived for your area.
Hi Rich - I find the butterflies fascinating. Boy oh boy, am I EVER ready for spring! Put another 4 hours in the garden last Saturday preparing part of the vegetable garden plot, and I should be able to move again by this weekend to get the rest of it ready. Should have the drip lines all hooked up, the rows raised and the weed block down in the next stint. My youngest wanted to bring goats in to take care of the weeds since the deer don't eat them...just everything else we plant!
butterflies sure are a sign of Spring... I have a perennial butterfly garden..love it when they come back
