Recycle your used cell phones

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX United

Every year, Americans buy more than 100 million cell phones, yet fewer than 20% of old cell phones are recycled.  Discarded phones represent about 65,000 tons of electronic garbage every year.

Instead of leaving your old cell phone in your junk drawer or putting it in trash, which will cause it to end up in the landfill, PLEASE donate your old/used cell phones to the San Marcos Historical Society.  The San Marcos Historical Society will make sure that the old cells phones are recycled properly while at the same time raising a few dollars to help sustain the operation of the museum and the homes at Heritage Park.

The Museum is located at 270 W. San Marcos Blvd and is open 12-4 Wednesday through Sunday.

I have so many old cell phones I could donate.  I need to find them & a spot in SA that does that.   KM

By the time my cell phone gives out, I'm so angry at it that I take it outside and jump up and down on it for a couple of hours and then go have a couple of margaritas and some jalapeno nachos. I despise these things, and just like tattoos and piercings, I will never, never ever have one attached to my ear, or any other part of my body, and I hope I'm dead by the time the government requires chip implants to keep track of its citizens "for the national good." Of course, Zoey the Cool Cat has a chip implant so I can keep track of her -- LOL.
