After a lot of thought I have decided to chronicle my garden this year on my Knoxville Local Expert blog on the Neighborhood Expert Online network. I felt that moving this series to my local blog was a better fit than AR. I intend on posting small lead-ins on AR to the full posts so those who have enjoyed my past garden posts will still be able to read them by following the link to my local blog.

I apologize in advance to those who may be put off by this move but I feel it is the best thing for me. My local expert blog generates a lot of local interest which is definitely a contributing factor in my decision. In a similar move my sports posts have been absent from AR for many months now as they have found a home on the sports centered Athletic Alley website. I am also now posting almost daily on Rich's Pics which is my photo blog on The Wordless Blog. I have every intention of continuing to post in the Wordless Wednesday group that I started and really enjoy. I hope to continue to enjoy your posts on AR and maybe on one of the other, more targeted, networks as well.

Hi Rich, It sounds like you are making some great moves for yourself, and have lots going on. Good for you! WW is growing every week, and seems to have a wonderful following of folks who enjoy it. It may not be true to it's original form in everyway - lots of diversity ;)  - but very popular just the same. I, for one, thank you - it has been a tremendous amount of fun for me, and I know for many others as well! See you on WW!

Rich - those look like some healthy chickens!  But I thought you were vegetarian.

I will be following the progress of your garden for sure ... and drooling!  :)

Debi - I am really happy that many AR members really enjoy Wordless Wednesday. It was a bit foolish of me to think the group would not evolve. I am happy with its evolution despite my initial resistance.

Carol - Those are the Buff Orpington chicks that you may have seen as babies in some of my garden posts last year. Though I am a vegetarian, I do eat eggs and dairy. The chickens are laying hens and produce 50-60 eggs per week!

Patrick - Glad you enjoyed the photo. I worked out there filling the permanent paths you can see laid out around the raised beds in the photo. I will be planting this weekend. Good luck with your garden.

Betina - Thanks for the good wishes. Quite a few plants will be going in this weekend; hopefully the last of the really cold weather is gone or I'll be covering them.
