The average sold price for a home is up 17% and the average sold days on market has increased by only 2 days. To top it off, there were 847 more homes sold!!
Based on statistics by the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors, what was the worst year for the average seller in Greenville in the past 6 years? The answer: 2003.
In 2003 the average sold price was $156,726, but in 2008 it was $183,816-an increase of 17%!!. The median sold price for Greenville homeowners in 2003 was $132,921. In 2008 homeowners saw that median sold price rise by 16% to $153,724. Also, in 2003 there were only 7,174 units sold while in 2008 there were 8,021. That is a healthy 12% increase in units sold.
