Learn to Manage your time

If you are not time blocking- breaking down your hours on an excel spread sheet, then you are wasting your time.

Time and land are the two things you can't make more of.

You'll be amazed how much more you can get done when you time block.

I agree with William, make sure to plan for life too. But having time management will keep you on task and bring in your leads.

What is time blocking?

Do you have a good time management program that you use?

Time blocking is:

6am- workout, coffee, newspaper

7am- checking emails/voicemails

8am- Call 10 Prospects

9am- etc, etc, etc

The best program I've found to do this is Microsoft EXCEL- and then you can upload that into your email, PDA, Palm, etc...

Congratulations on your insight for the need of good time management. A very wise elder to me cautioned me once that while, Yes, managing your time is essential in life to accomplish the many things you seek out, don't forget to take time to breath. To breath is the essence of life. To allow time to breath the fresh air and to hear the silence that can calm your over extended thinking brain. Time to live extemporaneously and discover possibly yet another trait that will enhance your life and those you care about. In other words, be sure to plan time to just live or mess around around or pick flowers or wash your car and detail it to perfection. Plan time to just over do something just because it feels good!

Wih every time management program there needs to be a caveat: Organize your life but don't fail to allow time to Live it!

Did-Doh! If I don't block out time for everything I do or want to do then I'm lost. I had once offended a friend because as we were talking about one of her life crisis & I had wanted to come see her. I said to her the wrong words, "let me see what I have open in my schedule" OOPS! Not good... It's habit for me & it works for me that's all that matters. Don't get me wrong I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of guy by heart but even spontaneous is scheduled into my calender.

I see time in the same way. We must use it wisely.
