Reading Advice On ActiveRain

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential Mountain Properties

I can't say how much this community is turning my head around.  When I first encountered this site I was disoriented, didn't understand what all this was about - blogging.  I thought how does writing get you business.  The light that has suddenly gone off in my head is that it's READING, LEARNING that is the phenomenal feature of this site.  It's truly like going back to college for free.  Read and Learn!!!

Bob, that is one great aspect of this site, ActiveRain, but there are the other perks like google juice and the public finds you.

It really is a great forum.  Google juice is the ability to tag your posts, and continue to market yourself online through AR.  They call it googel juice because it shoots your blog, and your websites up the rankings on google for keywords you target.

First time I heard it called Google Juice. Learn something new everyday!

Bob, I am learning as well that this is a phenomenal site to get education from other realtors and their experiences!

Hi Bob ~ Isn't it amazing?  I can't think of another way in which I've learned so much about so many things.  And the big one - blogging made no sense to me until I found this site.  "Turning my head around" is right - sometimes it feels like it's spinning on its neck.

Bob -  Google Juice, in my estimation, is having a strong internet presence for certain keywords that are viable for your profession and/or local area.  Example:

If I'm a client and type in Boone, NC Realtors in Google or any other search engine... if you have a strong internet presence (which you DO get from active contributions and applicable keywords in your taglines on Active Rain blogs), you would come up pretty high in the searches.  For you, (Boone NC, Prudential Properties, Houses for Sale in Boone, buying a home in Boone, etc) may be nice key words to include in your local posts reaching out to the consumers in your area.

Go to Google and type in "Pennsylvania USDA Loan" and see what pretty face comes up on page one;)

As far as the learning, AMEN to that.  This place has a plethora of avenues of which to learn about all aspects of the Real Estate Business and even life itself.  In my mind's eye, ActiveRain is the best thing going today.

There is so much more. I have made great connections and I have used Localism to my advantage. It has been a great way to connect to locals. And you are right I have learned a lot here that I can share with others as well-Dinah Lee

Bob, I've only been here a few months, but I see a dramatic difference in the way Google recognizes both me and my website. And, as you mentioned, it's a great resource of helpful information.
