buyers may be thinking that about your home. They may not be expecting a lot of flowers just yet but they are expecting the exterior of your house and your yard to look "fresh as a daisy."
Curb appeal cannot be over emphasized. Now is the time to improve your curb appeal and make your house stand out above the rest.
The following things will go a long way to making your house more appealing.
- Cean up any leaves that have fallen since you raked in the fall.
- Power wash the outside of your house, don't forget the garage door.
- Put out a fresh welcome mat.
- Remove any dead plants from your flower beds.
- Put down a layer of fresh mulch.
- Put a fresh coat of paint on your front door and shine up the hardware.
- Make sure there are no weeds or grass growing between the spaces of any stone work.
- Put some planters on your front porch with hardy plants (pansys work well) for some color.
- When the weather is warmer plant some colorful annuals in clusters for a pop of color.
- Be sure to weed your flower beds and remove any dead flowers through out the summer.
The very first impression of your home is when the buyers pull up in the car with their agent. What they see will set the tone for what they expect to see inside. Many buyers will assume if the exterior is neglected so is the rest of the home.

Diana I don't remember the saying but very appropriate at this time. Yes it is important that seller pay attention to the exterior, curb appeal is so important.
