Staging your home

By
Real Estate Agent with HomeSource Lamareaux Residential Realty

The first thing I learned about real estate, after the tests , the license and all the paperwork was staging a home correctly. I believe in this market with the buyers being very particular about the home they will buy that staging is more important than ever.

You may have not thought about staging, but I am working with a client right now, a dream client who naturally does everything for her home that a professional stager would do. She lives in Apple Valley On Hopi. You should see here home.  Why should you stage?   Sells for more. Sells quicker. Sells with less hassle. Makes you feel confident when showing the home. It shows the features by accenting the features more than the clients belonging.

Believe me when you only have 15 seconds to make that first impression and about 4 minutes of a buyer being in the house you want everything working for you.

I endorse and recommend that you spent the extra $1000 to $1500 to get your home staged the way that shows it the best. You won't be sorry you did.

Cathy- I agree with everything you said.  I have been taught that the cost of staging is less than your first price reduction.  I am currently helping a co-worker with her listing that is in dire need of staging.  Her owners are very resistant to the idea.  They have already made a $19,000 price reduction, if this home had been properly staged at the beginning of the listing period, it may have sold at or very close to their asking price.

Your statement about first impressions is so very TRUE!
