I give up.  My animals are actually human.  I know this because they have the same emotions, the same facial expressions, the same body language, and the for the most part, the same penchant for bad habits as I do.  They may not be able to speak words like I do, but they are human nonetheless.  When I leave them all day, as I do many days a week...they sulk.  They give me the cold shoulder for leaving them without a light on in the house and without the ability to go to the bathroom all day (just the dog on this one).

My dog has a smile...that's right....I said a smile.   She also has a "I can't hold it any longer look" and a look of compassion when my knees are too sore to climb the stairs at the end of the day.  My cat has looks of confusion, curiosity, and bewilderment.  Just like me and mostly in the same situations.

My pets are human.  I wonder if they think the own ME.  I don't have to think...I KNOW it!
