Will Alamo Become City

Alamo Incorporated?

A group of residents in Alamo dissatisfied with the county have formed a group to expore incorporating Alamo.  The committee will host a public meeting May 30 to unveil their proposal and ask Alamo residents for their input.  The meeting will be at Creekside Community Church, 1350 Danville Blvd., Alamo, 7:00 pm on May 30th.

There should be some interesting debates within the community in the upcoming months.  Can Alamo (the citizens of Alamo) pay for all the services they will need?  Alamo does have high property values and a high sales tax base (from downtown based businesses to home based businesses) but will this be enough to support the infrastructure?  I don't know.  I look foreward to hearing what this committee has to say.
