When you meet someone give them your undivided attention for the first thirty seconds. During your conversation listen to them, give them your full attention, acknowledge what they're saying and show genuine interest in them.
When you're listening, make them feel that they are the most important person in the world.
The person that's a proactive listener earns the reputation of being a brilliant conversationalist who others will seek out for advice.
Listen to others as we would like then to listen to us.
Actively listening to others is a sign of respect. As we listen to others we build rapport, that rapport builds trust and confidence.
