SEO posts seem to be getting a lot of attention on Active Rain this past week. There are a lot of people writing about SEO and how to apply it to your blogs and websites. There are articles from those who are pros at SEO like Dustin Luther to those who are posting about what is working for them.
I have read a lot of these posts; some are easy to understand while others are not.
Many people get tripped up in the lingo of SEO and many people who write about how to improve your SEO write with the lingo assuming the average agent is going to understand.
In the Internet SEO circles it is mostly assumed that the readers already know what the words all mean. I have found just the opposite to be true.
When you were learning to read as a child you were given the vocabulary for the book you were about to read first. You learned to vocabulary and then read the book. That way you could comprehend what you were reading. The same thing holds true for learning anything new even as adults. We must first learn the terminology and know the meaning of that terminology before you can thoroughly understand what you are going to learn and apply.
What I do in my SEO TO THE TOP Webinar is to first make sure that all the students are on the same page. We start with the basics- understanding the definition of each part of SEO and also the WHY for that part. Once we are all on the same page we can move forward with step by step instructions of what to do each week. There is homework and it is in applying the very thing you are being taught that causes you to really understand it. The SEO To The Top Webinar is for newbies and beginners to those that know enough and are already doing SEO on their blogs and sites.
So I take all these techniques and instructions that you are reading about from Active Rain and the rest of the Internet and break it down for you into steps.I want to make sure you understand what you are doing and why. Once you are armed with this understanding you no longer need to have a crutch. You can take off to the top on your own from then on.
The biggest mistake that I see agents make is not using the right keywords. Keyword research is an important step in creating the organic traffic that you want to get. You have to know what your prospect is going to type in to find you. You can not assume to know this. You must do the research. This is where you should be spending a large percentage of your time when developing your websites and blogs. Most people want to get to the meat of blog and get their websites up and running so fast that they tend to skimp over this very important step.
My next webinar starts on April 22nd. We still have a few more spaces available. I limit the number of spaces because I like to make sure that each person gets to ask questions at the end of each session and that we also can highlight the successes of each participant as they are implementing the SEO strategies. Go to CoachKaterinaSEO.com to find out what you will learn and to register.
You can ask any of the agents and mortgage brokers that have been in my SEO To The Top Webinar or that I coach one on one if they feel it was worth their time and money. You get way more than you pay for in this webinar.
Here are just a few of the agents that you are free to contact before signing up for my webinar:
Loreena Yeo
John Cannata
Eileen Hsu
Donna Bigda
Debe Maxwell
Jessica Bigger
Carol Fox

Pam Dent
If you have any questions you can email me at CoachKaterina(at sign) gmail.com. I look forward to helping you get to the top of the SERPS on Google.
I have been doing my own SEO since about 2003 but I find there's always more to learn. I won't be able to attend this one as I'm flying to Orlando on the 21st to celebrater my sister's 60th birthday but maybe the next one. How often do you do them?
