I received a new listing flyer last week for a home in the neighborhood. It was such a disservice to the sellers. Not only did the agent use an inkjet printer to print the flyer, but the agent used regular copy paper and tried to save on ink usage by printing the flyer in what appeared to be fast draft.
There were lines and waves all over the paper, the images were not clear, and to top that off, it was delivered during one of those days we had rain. The flyer was crying ink!
Regular copy paper, multipurpose paper, laser paper and high fiber paper is not designed for inkjets especially if you are going to use it to distribute to the public in that manner. Not only will the fiber content of those type of paper damage and clog your print head, it consumes more ink and will not prevent bleeding.
If you don’t have the means to print using a laser, take the time to send your print job to an office supply store. Staples is charge $0.39 per color copy and Office Depot and Office Max will price match. Is it worth it? Yes, I send print jobs to the office supply stores for clients across the country with the following requirement:
24 lb
Bright white 98+
Laser paper
You will be surprise how much better your flyers will look. Plus, the saving is worth it!
