Congratulations Captain Phillips!

Our United States special forces, the United States Navy and specifically Navy Seals persevered and were successful in rescuing Captian Richard Phillips of the coast of Somalia after being held hostage by pirates for 5 days. It was a high dram affair that had many on edge internationally. Vice Admiral, Bill Cortney of the USS Bainbridge ordered navy snipers to shoot in a split second decision after he determined that Capt. Phillips in "imminent danger"

I applaud the decision and wish Capt. Phillips a safe and happy return to his family and friend in Underhill, Vermont.

Great Story!

Stay Sharp, good luck and be well!

This was a great ending to what could have been a tragic story.  I join you in wishing him well.

That's my NAVY.  It's days like this that I am proud to be a Navy man.  We don't pick, fights, but we dont back down from one either.  BRAVO and congrats to the Navy and the Special Forces team that freed Captain Phillips

Have a great day and

Bo - absolutely. Capt Phillips is a true American hero, and those SEALS aren't so bad either!

I agree with your post, but I'm not quite sure why Capt. Phillips should be congratulated. A hearty "Thank you" seems to be more in order in my view.

And as Mike said in his comment above mine, how about those Navy SEALS? From right here in San Diego. And how about President Obama giving the go-ahead? Excellent operation.
