As you begin your day on Activerain today, you will notice two minor changes.  Both have been designed to make things much cleaner looking.  First, you will notice that Groups have been moved into a drop down box.

old groupsNew Group

The second change is there is now a new link added to your my home page that says notifications.  This box has been created for you to keep track of all the different posts that you have signed up to be notified of new comments on.  This will allow faster and easier navigation to these posts.

Jeremy...

Thanks for letting us know about these enhancements. This will eliminate a lot of those "where are my groups" Posts.

Thanks for the info Jeremy.  Hopefully this will make AR more user friendly.

We need a "delete all notifications" button then. I had 92 notifications, and I don't recognize any of them. I haven't a clue where they came from, and to sit there and delete them one by one is time consuming and not useful.

Jeremy .. Thanks for this article and updated AR information.  The blog post notifications should be especially helpful.  Did you do the work to get AR up to date on this?

Best wishes.

Jeremy- I too have the problem of having 522 notifications! Many from blogs from months ago that I'm sure I've stopped notifications from.  Can we have a way to delete these without going through each one?

Good deal..easier to navigate on the side bar...unless I want to pick one of the groups subscribed to. (you may want to clarify that as I clicked on groups on the top bar)  The one you're talking about is on our left side bar right?

Noticed these items -- but another thing  -- is there any way that you guys can put back the info at the bottom of the blogs that has page numbers and not just "next"---

often times we'll be reading posts and have to go away and do something else, or get on a phone call and with the "next" being all there is, there is not anyway to easily jump back in and go to where you were, as by later on there are now many more posts --- when there were page numbers you could remember I was at page 15 for example and then go back and track to something either forward or back of that ---

the "next" is not user friendly at all  -- our 2 cents

I don't have an opinion one way or the other about that one.

Time will tell.

Unfortunately this does not address the basic browser issues or the fract that this website looks and feels like it was built in a Publisher template kit by school children. What is up  with not being able to access AR on my mobile device... I can do it with myspace and facebook and twitter but not archais AR. The basic flow of the website itself feels like jumbling through a junk drawer...

HOLY JA, I hope you are only kidding. Considering that AR is free and provides a ton of value to the bottom line, you might just want to say thank you.

Matthew- You may want to look at this... it doesn't work flawlessly, but it will give you access.  Blackberries though are restricted from many sites because their browsers run completely different. Other mobile devices, (iPhone, G1) have no problem viewing our site.  Sorry for your frustration.

Hi Jeremy,

I guess being a frequent AR member, it was a quick notice of the changes that you made this morning. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  Love the groups' drop down box.  Not certain about the notifications. Do they appear once a new blog is written. Top being the newest addition Slightly confused as to it use.

Thanks Jeremy. This is good stuff. As someone else also asked in the comments, it would be great if we could get the bookmarks organized. It is difficult to find the ones you want sometimes based on the current model of latest comments. It might be more helpful to find by categories.
