Are you blogging for business ?

Numerous bloggers here in Active Rain have signed up for the ProBloggers series "31 Days to Build a Better Blog" .  Just in the first week I have learned so much and have seen some great blogs written by other bloggers that are doing the challenge.

Just in the short time I have seen some great blog posts and wanted to highlight them here.  I firmly believe all of these bloggers will be doing additional business in the future as a result of their blogging.

If you have not seen some of these posts, please check them out and add a comment.

The whole goal of blogging and building a better blog is to do more business.  We have certainly seen a nice spike in our business since we started our Active Rain blog and know that a log of bloggers are starting to experience those rewards.

A great testimonial of that is a featured post by Kristin Moran "2 Accepted Contracts in 7 days - thanks Active Rain ! "  !

After reading Kristin's post, it will definitely energize you to stay consistent with your blogging and to concentrate on providing great content.  Or better yet, join Kristen and the rest of us in our "Build a Better Blog Group right here in Active Rain"

C&S - First off, thank you for the mentions, very sweet of you.  I REALLY have enjoyed doing the 31 days to build a better blog.  I was talking to my mother this evening and she said "I see you are building a better blog?  What was wrong with your old one?".  She's funny!!!  I think I have learned alot so far!! I fear I will slack come Saturday when the wedding happens & then HONEYMOON!! ok, i'm CERTAIN I will slack.  BUT I will try & catch back up.  Thanks! KM

Kristin - Is all good !  The nice thing about these tasks was that we can always go back and look at them every quarter, every six months and so on.  I think it will be a great revisit once in awhile.  Stephanie says I am little crazy right now trying to do too much and she is probably right : )

Congrats on the big events coming up !  That is what it is all about !!!!!

Kristin - I think we can forgive you for this wedding thing that's going to get in the way of your blogging.  Haha.  I hope you have a great time.  If there's one thing I can tell you from my own wedding - try to take 10 minutes for the two of you at the reception.  You'll be surprised how little time you really get to spend just enjoying the moment as you'll be busy saying hello, getting compliments, and trying not to step on your dress.  Its a great time, but I wish I could go back and just take a moment for my wife and I during the reception.  Just the two of us.

Chris - When we're both left by our wives thanks to our blogging, you can count on me for support.  Haha.  Thanks for the mention and you're right about Kristin's post - hearing her success only spurs me on more (especially since it was her story of success that opened up a conversation between that brought me here - Thanks Kristin!).

I only blog for business.  I wrote one particular blog last week, and it developed two specific buyer leads that my buyer agent is working right now.

Susan - Are some great links in there, especially the 31 day blog challenge !

Matt - I think we all can inspire to have more of those success stories like Kristen's .  And yes, I may also need to join a "blogging addict 12 step support group" !

William - You are welcome !  I have learned recently that highlighting others is a great thing by sharing and giving some "link love" !

Jim - That is awesome.  I know that you are "all business".  That is a great success story.  If you come back, please post the link that generated that business.

Teri - You are welcome !  There is some great stuff going on in the "Build a Better Blog Group on AR"

Stephanie it is a great challenge. Yes it is. I am challenged. I am behind but mostly in my writing due to a out of town buyer all last weekend. Since I don't usually work with buyers I forgot how time consuming it was. But, I will eventually write all my lessons up.

Missy - It is all good ! Is great to be busy.  We have been swamped but are doing our best to stay up with the blog challenge.  The great thing about it is that all of these tasks can always be revisited in the future as well.

We are the same way as we typically are on the listing side and forget how time consuming the buying side can be.  We also just put 2 buyers under contract last week so are pumped up about that !  ~ Chris

I am laughing at Matt's comment "When we're both left by our wives thanks to our blogging, you can count on me for support".  At least you blogs will be MORE SPECTACULAR! :D

Chris - You are doing a phenominal job with reporting this challenge to the AR community.  I was already a subscriber to your blog and didn't think you could get any better, but you have.  Thanks for sharing and forming this group.  - Judy
