Last night i had the great opportunity to watch a documentary called man on wire. This was far and away one of the most amazing things i have even seen. it is the story of a man who wanted to walk on a high wire between the twin tower in New York. The lengths that he went to to achieve this dream was amazing. He basically had to do it. It was his obsession.
To be very honest at this point it was a hard show for me to watch. I am very afraid of heights and this film made me scared for his life. In someways maybe we are all a Man (or woman) on a wire. We live in what we think is a complex world. We let the media or friends shape how we perceive the world. There are mainy things currently going on in the economy and the world that distract us from our passions. Sometimes like i felt during this movie i feel scared. This movie helped to remind me how much i like Real Estate and how much i like problem solving. It took me to a place where i don't have to listen to the media or the distractions. It took me to the Wire where i can just focus on what i do. As i think about what i do on a daily basis trying to juggle all the balls i have to juggle trying to keep them all airborne it is amazing to watch a film like this and come back to the reality of WHY. Why do you sell Real Estate? I am glad to have reminders that bring me back to the most basic of all answers at time. There might not really be a WHY sometimes. Selling Real Estate and being in business is just what i do. I feel meant to do this. I just need to now move towards my Twin Tower walk.
Every profession has its' ups and downs. How many bankers are still saying they love their jobs. I can't wait for thing in Real Estate to get up beat again because when things are moving it feels great, exhilarating quite honestly.

Marcus,
Well said. Is it not the greatest that we are able to work in a profession that we love so much.
