Dismal Days - There is still business to be Had

Below you will see a photo taken from the back of my home on Easter weekend.  The wind was blowing 40 mph, it was raining then snowing and back to rain.  I woke up on Easter morning and thought it should have been Christmas.  There was an inch of snow on the ground.  This should not surprise me afterall our last freeze date in Santa Fe is May 15th.  If you grew up here you know not to put a plant outside until that date - I cannot tell you how many times throughout the years I have tempted that date only to be shown who upstairs is the boss.

But despite the weather - buyers were calling.  I had a few calls from brokers and buyers with customers wanting to see property.   Any of my seller's who did not have company were very accomodating.  It was a day that made for happy seller's and grateful buyers.

Dismal days still bring Buyer's

Boy,

It was better than that here, but still a cold and a wet day.

I thought the weather was supposed to be nice in your area. Your chamber of commerce might not want you to tell these tales!

Roy,

At 7000 feet we get some cold weather.  But our Chamber knows how to put a great spin on it - the same way we do when we make a horrible property look great in photos.

I'm glad I'm not there-here the weather was beautiful. Great to know the buyers are still out even in the weather.

Victoria,

It just goes to show you buyer's don't care about the weather, it's when they have free time!!

Nice story. I woke up at 6am Easter morning to find 6 beautiful deer grazing in my backyard! I figured, what a wonderful little Easter gift from God. I ran upstairs to wake the little ones to allow them to see the beautiful creatures of God's earth.  They visit somewhat infrequently and normally when they see us at the window, they bolt; but this time they just looked at me and went back to nibbling on the grass.  It was early, quiet and peaceful and just a little slice of heaven seeing them there.  Although, I do have to admit that one side of my brain is thinking, "time to get a fence!" LOL

Kimberly,

What a truely magical sight that must have been.  I hope the little ones enjoyed it as much as you did.
