Home buyers (and potential home buyers) in Southern California will have a terrific opportunity this weekend to gather lots of information about the home buying process, loans, dealing with credit issues, the importance of having a home inspection, and many other topics.

California Home Buyers Fair in Los AngelesThe Los Angeles Convention Center is, again, the site of the 2009 FREE home buyers fair on Saturday April 18 (from 10 until 5) and on Sunday (from 11 until 4). IF it is anything like last year's event you can expect thousands of folks stopping in for more than 50 educational seminars and multiple vendors in the real estate industry.

Here's a link to the Google map for the LA Convention Center.

In addition to the FREE admission (in this economy who can argue with free?), the first 200 attendees each day will receive a free movie ticket (one ticket per person).

Jeff, what a great thing to do for potential homebuyers. I hope other states pick this up and do something at that level.

Missy - agreed. This market is a tough one on everyone, but especially buyers who are new to the process. I'm glad to see our state board doing something proactive for the second year in a row to provide this broad array of information. And clealy a good number of brokerages are going to be there too to snap up what business they can. Hmmm, wonder if there will be anyone talking about how to use the Internet to search for homes effectively and find a great agent?
