showing up is 1/2 the battle for sure.. sometimes that's more like 75% of the battle.

Thanks for your post.  Kids were off school last week and I feel like I took a mental vacation.  Haven't been at the office like I usually am, now having trouble going back.  Need to get back on track, that's the hard part.  Did an open house today and went to MLS meeting, and been online most of the day, but still feel like I'm not in the work mode.

I got to go to the office and I will feel better, gotta show up!!!

Being a business owner and motivating a staff on this very subject is like staring at glared eyes. Like what are you talking about. I tell them time and time again how you have to be discipline and stay on task and show up! Show up in attitude and in the desire to do a great job.

Hi Lara, I have always heard that about showing up and I believe it is true.

Showing up is a key factor but attitude is the most important.  If you show up and your attitude stinks you might as well stayed home.  Always put a smile on your face and be happy.

This is very true.  At first just showing up can be the most difficult part, but once you get used to it, it becomes easier.  As they say positive thoughts lead to positive actions and positive actions lead to positive results!

Yes and when you are there it is not so bad after all. Probably even enjoyable.

I so believe it is all about attitude.  One of my favorite motivational books is an old one "The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwarz.  In it he talks about a one handed golfer who was better than most two handed golfers.  He asked his secret and he said that he had found the right attitude and one hand would beat the wrong attitude and two hands any day.  I read that some 25 years ago and have never forgotten it.

LAURA......LOVE YOUR POST!

I just had a sale meeting today talking about everything you mentioned and more.  Attitude and showing up is the key.  As well as 'shifting' when one needs too!

Love the picture....I will be sure to share this with our agents tomorrow.

Thanks, Anna Banana  www.AnnaBananaRealty.com

Hi, Lara, some days showing up feels like 100% of the battle.  Showing up may not guarantee your success, but not showing up will surely guarantee your failure.  Let's all hang in there together.

my father always said 90% of his success was from just showing up.

Love this post Lara.  We all need this reminder.  By not showing up we choose to fail.  Thanks for sharing.

Great advice, but my most important tool is my business plan. Without it, I would be lost. Zoey the Cool Cat is my second most important tool -- LOL.

Zoey the Cool Cat wondering why Russel won't play with her.

I am with you there!  It's funny how things work sometimes.  I have an occasional day where I don't feel like going to the office but do anyway... those are the days when great things have happened!

Hi Lara,

Sometimes we can set the tone of the day even before we show up. I try to "make my bed and make my day." It doesn't always happen, but my day does seem better if I just start moving right off the bat! Thanks for the post.

Hey, Lara.

You haven't shown up with a blog post in over two weeks. I hope it's because you're really busy helping people buy and sell real estate, but we do miss you! :)
